Label Description Argentina energy efficiency label will be divided into seven grades A-G, A (green) to G (red) means that energy efficiency is more and more less, the energy label shall be marked on the electrical appliances such as the use of time hours (h), electrical power Watt (Watt) etc.
Implementation Background The Secretariat of Industry, Commerce and Mining issued a resolution in May 1999 mandating household appliances are to be labelled according to standards of energy efficiency and noise emission.Argentina began a comparative labelling program some time ago. Whilst it is still relatively new, the government has plans to expand the program by extending the types of products covered. The current legislation allows for labelling laws to be applied to air conditioners, ballasts, clothes dryers, clothes washers, dishwashers, hot water systems (electric), lamps, ovens and refrigerator freezers. To date Argentina has no minimum energy performance standards. The energy labelling program for refrigerators is already operational. Argentina uses a bar style of energy label.
