Label Description PEB label in addition to mark the product energy efficiency rating, but also contains the manufacturer name, trademark, product model, energy efficiency (kJ/Wh), refrigeration capacity (kJ/h), rated current (m3/h), power consumption (W) and other indicators. Similar to the EU energy label, Brazil PBE energy efficiency labeling in addition to the energy efficiency rating (from the highest efficiency of class A to the lowest level g) also contains manufacturer's name, trademark, product model, power consumption or use of water, and the characteristics of the product information.

Implementation Background Brazil's energy labeling contains PBE labelling & PROCEL and CONPET. PBE is Brazilian label program, which aims to provide product information to consumers to enable them to evaluate and optimize the electrical equipment energy consumption, select the desired products to improve efficiency and consumption, and better use of equipment to make the best of energy costs. On the tag there is INMETRO and PROCEL (National Energy Plan) signature, or INMETRO and CONPET (rational use of energy in national plans) signature. Energy efficiency labeling is divided into two categories, one specifically for household use red logo, known PROCEL (smile) identification; another household gas equipment used for the blue logo, known CONPET logo. PROCEL (Smile) is an energy saving certification mark logo, the logo was developed from the 1993 presidential decree promulgated. This means that the products have been identified to achieve the best electrical equipment energy efficiency, consuming less energy. As part of PBE, it was presented annually to electrical products which has access to the energy efficiency rating and meets the statutory requirements.Based on national energy policy and the rational use of energy law (Act No.10.295-2001) requirements, PROCEL voluntary certification program began to change into the mandatory certification. From July 2008, all televisions sold in Brazil must be affixed to the standby energy efficiency logo. CONPET logo came into force in August 2005, the oil and gas identification guide consumers to buy the lowest fuel consumption products.
