| Label Description | It gives energy for products or homes with classes (A to G) and colors (dark green to red) that how energy efficient a product or home is, in comparison with similar models. Energy A (dark green) is very economical, energy G (red) is very inefficient. | |||
| Implementation Background | In the Netherlands, in certain cases you must include an energy label for your product. An energy label includes information about the product's energy consumption and energy efficiency in comparison to similar products. Depending on the energy label, the purchaser of a car will receive a discount or have to pay a surcharge on the purchase tax (BPM), purchasers of some energy-efficient new cars will not have to pay any BPM at all. As from 1 November 2012, manufacturers and importers of tyres have the obligation to accompany all tyres produced after 1 July 2012 with labels, distributors (e.g. tyre dealers, repair shops, car retailers) have the obligation to make this information available at the point of sale in a clearly visible position, three features are mentioned on the tyre label: fuel consumption, grip on wet roads, noise caused by the tyre, and the invoice you provide to your customer must also indicate which tyre label the tyre carries. The details of electrical equipment will be recorded on a label which you must send to the shopkeeper along with the product, the shopkeeper attaches the label to the device.
